Beyond knowing what it stood for and having a vague idea of how it worked, FTP was yet another unknown to me (as I think most of what I will be doing is going to be). Installing it and using it was simple enough but finding the required file took a little hunting. I won though. Then the real hunt... I ended up having to do a search on my computer to find out where the transferred file was, I couldn't find anywhere that told me where it went to.
Part of the task was to complete the following: "according to the readme file, '_______ MATTERS' - what word goes in the blank?". CAPITALIZATION matters... and so too does American spelling presumably.
I'm sure what I had to do for this exercise was quite a simple task, but it certainly made me more confident about FTP, something I am likely to be using in the near future and, hopefully, more and more as time goes on.
